This policy explains which cookies and browser local storage DUOLEXX uses and how you control your consent.

What we use

We use only a few necessary browser storage entries and — with your consent only — cookieless analytics. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers for advertising.

Necessary (no consent required)

• Sign-in/session information for authentication. • Language choice (NEXT_LOCALE) so the site shows in your language. • Storage of your cookie decision (duolexx-consent) so we can honour it. Legal basis: § 25(2) TDDDG (strictly necessary).

Statistics (consent only)

• Umami — privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics, self-hosted in the EU. Loaded only after you consent to statistics; without consent, no measurement takes place. Legal basis: § 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Functional local storage

For referral and attribution features we may briefly store a referral code and entry channel locally in your browser. Assistant drafts are kept locally until saved. These entries serve the site's functionality and are not shared with third parties for advertising.

Change or withdraw consent

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Withdrawal takes effect for the future.
