Not one language per country — both sides read the same binding version

Template shops give you a German-only or English-only version. DUOLEXX generates both in a single document, grounded in Germany contract law — client understands exactly what they sign and it stays enforceable in Germany.

Governing Language Version

This document consists of two language versions. In the event of any discrepancy or question of interpretation, the version in the governing legal language (Deutsch) shall prevail; the English version is a translation provided for convenience.

Frequently asked questions

What is bogus self-employment (Scheinselbstständigkeit) and why is it risky?
If your work is instruction-bound, externally determined and performed in personal dependence, the law treats it as an employment contract rather than genuine freelance work — BGB § 611a Abs. 1.
Do I need to register a trade as a freelancer?
Anyone independently starting a standing trade must file a Gewerbeanmeldung with the competent authority (GewO § 14 Abs. 1 S. 1); liberal professionals in scientific, artistic, writing, teaching or listed catalogue professions are exempt (EStG § 18 Abs. 1 Nr. 1).
Do I pay trade tax as a liberal professional?
Income from liberal-professional activity under EStG § 18 Abs. 1 Nr. 1 is self-employment income and is subject neither to trade tax nor to trade registration.
Which notice period applies if I am found to be bogus self-employed?
Once the relationship counts as employment, the statutory basic notice period of four weeks to the 15th or the end of a calendar month applies — BGB § 622 Abs. 1.
What is the difference between a Dienstvertrag and a Werkvertrag?
Freelance work as a Dienstvertrag owes the promised services in return for the agreed pay, not a guaranteed work result — BGB § 611 Abs. 1.

Why DUOLEXX instead of just asking an AI?

An AI writes text fast. That doesn't make it legally sound, bilingual and ready to sign. That's exactly the difference.

Grounded in local law

Every document follows the law of the chosen country — researched clauses, not a generic template from the web.

Authoritative language + translation

The binding version in the legal language, alongside an understandable translation. A chat rarely delivers both, soundly, at once.

Verifiable signature

Two-party signature with a SHA-256 integrity proof — provable that both signed the same wording.

Finished, not just text

PDF, signature, archive and share link in one flow — an AI chat only hands back raw text.
